Sioux Treaty of 1868 by National Archives

Lesson plan using original documents about the 1868 Treaty between the US government and the Sioux Indians recognizing the Black Hills as part of the Great Sioux Reservation. The government confiscated the land in 1877, and it is still the subject of legal dispute.
