Favela Rising Movie & Lessons by Monisha Bajaj & Melissa Kelly at Teachers College


This screening guide offers a 2-hour workshop agenda, or a week-long series of lessons to accompany the film "Favela Rising" on youth development work in the favelas (slums) of urban Brazil. The film shows how one afro-Brazilian organization has given youth an alternative to violence by promoting the arts, music, and culture.
