This is a sample from Real World's Social Justice Curriculum Guide for High School. It is 116 pages and is available in Spanish. Social justice curriculum guides are designed to help create a meaningful framework for your critical literacy-based classroom. Guides provide a sequence of essential social justice oriented questions aligned to “Habits of Mind” that will guide discussions with your group and there is a culminating project for each Real World theme! The guide includes key classroom strategies, project task sheets, a student-teacher contract and critical literacy rubric. There are six thematic units per grade each with five (5) essential questions, one per week! Guides are designed to "frame" classroom experiences from September through June.
