The analysis was distributed on the Educators Network for Social Justice (ENSJ) list and was made available to the public via the local newspaper, which ran an article written by Bob. He also sent it to various community leaders and encouraged them to ask the board not to select the recommended books. Right before the Milwaukee Public School Board was scheduled to meet to vote on textbook adoption in June, Bob went on the radio with Wendell Harris of the Milwaukee NAACP to talk about the textbook issue. At the board meeting teachers and community members testified, and the board delayed a vote on textbook adoption.
